This months yaoi news will be VERY fanwork oriented indeed. This one is gonna be a doozy, trust me.

I want to start with an interesting anecdote, first. a few months after i published job hunting 9000, some strangers came up to me and requested to make a JH9K fangame. I was really surprised, because my game was very small at this point in time. They had made a few sprites, a fan character and a CG, thats all i know as far as progress went, and the project seems to quietly dissipate by the time i stopped paying attention. It's something i think about every now and then, though. What on earth WOULD it look like if that project came to fruition? They drew yaoitron getting like bruised and dominated which made me kind of uncomfortable when i was 16 LMAO but i was still deeply morbidly curious about what on earth a JH9K fangame would look like.

But we can only ponder on such a theoretical, right?

Grass Hunting 9000 is a short visual novel featuring the titular XxYuritron_9000xX who comes into the life of a girl and takes her on a multi-pathway branched adventure of touching grass and being rivalled by random and completely out of place titular sapphic fandom character Vriska Serket!

Equality really has come so far... sniff...

In all seriousness though, this is just crazy to me. Literally the second fangame venture anyone has set forth in JH9K history. My game isnt really like... that popular, right?? What keeps compelling people to do this??? I'm not complaining. I'm very flattered that anyone is so compelled by my silly VN that they would make something like this.

I think the most surreal part to me above anything else is how it feels to atually play the game because for the first time ever its given me insight on what its like for an outsider to play JH9K, which I accredit to the games structure and writing being a complete mirror to JH9Ks in a lot of ways. Understanding how others percieve my works is completely NOT something that comes naturally to me so i struggle alot with understanding the appeal of my own work, but when i finished playing this game my reaction was bsacially the same as any comment ive ever gotten on the JH9K itch io page, so I was kinda like 'huh... i get how people feel after playing my VN now!'. It was a very unique kind of clarity that i could only really attain from an experience like this.

For anyone who happened to catch the particular yaoi news where she appeared, you might have MY yuritron, 'yuritron666_', in your thoughts right now. "Golly axe, is there even enough room in this town for 2 yuritrons? are we gonna have to have a yuritron gunfight outside the saloon to decide who the one true yuritron is?". the answer is NO. everyone should havetheir own personal yuritron. Go make yourself a yuritron too. Lets build an army. Anyways, heres the drawing i made of our yuritrons together.
